A Very Broadway Thanksgiving

The date is November 22nd 2018 and something very special was happening at a Macy’s in New York. The 92^nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade left everyone speechless with performances by Mean Girls, My Fair Lady; The Prom, Head Over Heels; Dear Evan Hansen, King Kong, Summer: The Donna Summer musical and The Radio City Rockettes. Even though they were freezing, the actors brought their signature high-kicks that warmed up the place in an instant. Dreams and history were made on this day; Laura Benanti got the chance to play her dream role as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and The Prom made history by broadcasting the first LGBTQ+ kiss on a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
