The Play That Goes Wrong on BBC!

The BBC has
just announced The Goes Wrong Show,
based on the hit Broadway show The Play
That Goes Wrong, according to the magazine Variety. Lewis and Jonathan
Sawyer and Henry Shields, his co-writers and the original co-stars of the play,
will write the series. Each episode will parody the same genre as the play,
such as a courtroom drama and spy thriller. This is actually the second time
the BBC Channel have worked on Mischief Theatre comedies. They have worked in the past on Peter Pan Goes Wrong and A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong.
The
acclaimed stage comedy The Play That Goes Wrong debuted in London
and moved to Broadway, it recently transferred to Off-Broadway’s New World
Stages.
This
Broadway hit is basically a play within a play where the characters fall upon a
plethora of disasters, including doors sticking, props falling from the walls
and floors collapsing. Cast members are often seen misplacing props, forgetting
lines, missing cues, breaking character, mispronouncing words and even stepping
on fingers.
I personally
cannot wait to see this show on my television. Tune in to BBC to find out the
exact air dates when they are released to the public.
